MFAP is a Shariah-compliant community support fund operated under Masjid Al-Aziz Corp, a registered nonprofit organization in New York.
1 Our Organization
Masjid Al-Aziz Corp is a registered nonprofit organization in New York State. MFAP operates as a DBA (Doing Business As) project of Masjid Al-Aziz Corp, dedicated to serving the Muslim community with dignified funeral and burial support.
2 Our Mission
The program helps Muslim families cover funeral and burial expenses through cooperative donations (tabarru'). This is not insurance — members contribute monthly to a community pool that supports families at the time of Janazah.

3 Our Structure
MFAP is structured as a nonprofit religious charity and community benefit organization. This allows:
- Contributions to be treated as donations (tabarru')
- Assistance to be provided as charity-based support
- No profit structure — no riba or insurance-like dealings
- Acceptance by Islamic scholars
- Members to feel safe joining a halal program
4 Shariah Compliance
MFAP operates according to Islamic principles:
- All contributions are charitable donations (tabarru')
- No interest (riba)
- No gambling or uncertainty (maysir / gharar)
- No guaranteed cash profits
- Assistance provided only for funeral and burial expenses
- Surplus funds remain within the community pool
- Operated under a nonprofit religious organization
This makes MFAP halal and fully permissible.
