No. This is a community support program based on Islamic cooperative principles. MFAP is NOT insurance. It is a charitable community fund based on voluntary tabarru' (donation) contributions.
Yes. Contributions are treated as donations (tabarru'), not payments for profit. The program is structured as a nonprofit religious charity with no riba, no gharar, and no maysir involved.
Assistance is paid directly to the funeral home, cemetery, or designated family representative for documented expenses. No cash payments to members or families.
After a 90-day waiting period. If death occurs from an accident, the waiting period is waived.
No. Membership is limited to Muslims residing in the USA.
Yes. Each person registers individually and selects their own plan.
Surplus funds remain in the community pool to support future funeral assistance needs.
Members are expected to keep contributions up to date. If contributions are missed, membership status may be affected. Contact us if you have difficulties.
