1 Membership Only

Members join the program by contributing monthly. This is a membership in a community support fund, not an insurance contract. Assistance is provided toward funeral and burial expenses based on plan level.

2 Tabarru' Contribution

All monthly contributions are treated as voluntary donations to a community support fund.

3 Purpose of the Fund

Funds are used only to assist with the funeral and burial expenses of registered members.

4 Assistance Amount

The program provides financial assistance toward funeral and burial expenses based on the selected plan level. Stated amounts (where applicable) are as follows:

• Basic Plan: Up to $8,000
• Recommended Plan: Financial assistance based on plan level (see plan details)
• Standard Plan: Up to $16,000
• Premium Plan: Up to $20,000

5 Payments

Payments are issued to: funeral home, cemetery, or family representative (for documented funeral costs).

6 No Cash Profit

The program does not allow cash profit, interest (riba), or any unrelated payments. Assistance is for actual funeral and burial expenses only.

7 Waiting Period

A 90-day waiting period applies unless death occurs from an accident.

8 Membership Requirements

To be eligible: be Muslim, reside in the USA, and keep contributions up to date.

9 Administrative Fee

A small percentage of contributions may be deducted for operational costs.

10 Shariah Compliance Statement

MFAP operates according to Islamic principles: tabarru' contributions, no riba, no maysir/gharar, no guaranteed cash profits, assistance only for funeral/burial expenses, surplus remains in the community pool, operated under a nonprofit religious organization.

This makes MFAP halal and fully permissible.
